In a world filled with distractions and stress, yoga offers me a space of peace and serenity. It gives me the opportunity to disconnect from the chaos outside and reconnect with my inner self. Yoga is a time for myself; in its practice, I have found healing, renewal, and the inner strength to carry on with my daily life.
Having a consistent yoga practice is a beacon of light in a sea of uncertainty. Yoga guides me back to myself, reminding me that I am a complete and perfect being just as I am. Yoga allows me to discover and find my full potential. It’s a reminder that wholeness and well-being are always available to me, if I only choose to open my heart and make time in my day for a consistent practice.
In my experience, yoga is synonymous with healing. In difficult times, when I felt like I “needed someone to believe in me,” yoga helped me maintain hope, realizing that the most important thing is for me to believe in myself.
I began to make changes in my life: I started getting up early enough to avoid rushing in the morning. I pause for a few moments by the window to give thanks for another day of life, for the opportunity to do things right. I go downstairs for an individual yoga practice to listen and feel myself, so I can feel more and think less. I continue with a Bhakti Yoga-based meditation, drawing closer to my divinity so I can recognize the divinity in others. I read sacred scriptures to raise my vibration.
Then, I take a few minutes to prepare my breakfast and sit down to give thanks and bless the food, eating a “slow, warm, and peaceful breakfast.”
I start my day with gratitude, seeing it as a true gift.
